Number System

(i) Multiple: Multiple of a number = the number x counting number

এটা সংখ্যাৰ গুণিতক = সংখ্যা x স্বাভাৱিক সংখ্যা

Ex: 5 x 1 = 5

5 x 2 = 10

5 x 3 = 15

....

...

• Every number is a multiple of itself as well as of 1.
• প্ৰতিটো সংখ্যা 1 আৰু তাৰ নিজৰ এটা গুণিতক ।

(ii) Factor: A number is factor of a given number, if the number divides the given number exactly. For example: 3 and 5 are the factors of 15

উৎপাদক: এটা সংখ্যাক আন এটা সংখ্যাৰ উৎপাদক বুলি কব পৰা যায়, যদি সেই সংখ্যাটোৱে অন্য সংখ্যাটোক সম্পূৰ্ণৰূপে হৰণ যায় ।

উদাহণস্বৰূপে, 15 ৰ উৎপাদক 3 আৰু 5 ।

(iii) Prime Number: A number which have only two factors 1 and the number itself then the number is called a prime number.
Ex: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, ...
মৌলিক সংখ্যা: যিবোৰ সংখ্যাৰ উৎপাদক 1 আৰু সংখ্যাটো নিজে, সেই সংখ্যাবোৰক মৌলিক সংখ্যা বোলা হয় । উদাহৰণ: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, ...

(iv) Composite numbers: The numbers which have only two factors then they are called composite numbers.
Ex: 4, 6, 9 12
যৌগিক সংখ্যা: যিবোৰ সংখ্যাৰ দুটাতকৈ বেছি উৎপাদক থাকে, সেইবোৰক যৌগিক সংখ্যা বোলে । উদাহৰণ: 4, 6, 9 12

The prime numbers between 1 to 100 are- 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, 97.

(v) Co-prime numbers: The numbers which have only factor in common are called co-prime numbers.
Ex: 4, 9
